Sickness followed by LOVE

We made it four and a half weeks before sickness hit our family. That's really not too bad considering the very different lifestyle we are living. It has taken some time to get used to things like soaking your fruit in "yodo blanco" for ten minutes and rinsing and washing them really good, being careful as to what you eat and drink out in the community, and making sure that the boys don't drink the water.

Well, the sickness hit me first. Last Wednesday night I had some bad stomach cramping and lots of other symptoms. After a really LONG, rough night I got treated for a bacterial infection and a possible parasite. Four days later I was back on my feet, a little exhausted, but back on my feet. So thankful for Hans who took care of the boys and everything around the house. So thankful for Nate and Maggie who rushed over here at 12:30 in the morning to make sure I was alright and didn't need to go to the hospital.

THEN, the day after I got it...Grady came home from camp early throwing up and having stomach cramps. We thought for sure he probably had what I did, but then he seemed to kind of get over it and has had some stomach cramping off and on since. He seems to be his normal self, but as soon as we can get a stool sample from him between 8am-4pm we'll get it tested to make sure he's alright. :)

It was so nice to receive a package from my mom after being sick for a couple of days. The boys were SO excited...mostly for the fruit snacks. :)
