After exactly one year of leaving the place we called "home" we are HOME. Let me tell you about our journey to get where we are today.
At the end of July 2010 we moved out of our house of six years and moved in with Hans's parents for a month. Then, at the end of August we moved to Costa Rica where we lived for four months learning Spanish. Then, at Christmas time it was back to Michigan with Hans's parents again. Then, off to Colorado for three weeks and back to Hans's parents' house again. After living there for four months we were off to the D.R. where we house sat for a family who went to the states for the summer. NOW, here we are, in a place that we can call HOME.
Words cannot describe how happy, blessed, and excited we are to be in our home and have suitcases unpacked and put away. We are grateful for Nate & Maggie and how well they have taken care of this house and also for Rubio our landlord who has been gracious enough to give us our rent for only $275 a month. God is GOOD!
Other than the fact that we now have a home...life is good here in Jarabacoa. Hans has been able to work with the teams this week putting a roof on Daniel and Yajida's house. And it just so happens that one of the teams that are here right now is the Firm Foundation team from our hometown. So excited to see some familiar faces and connect with them while they're here.
The boys have two more weeks before school starts up. So, we'll be getting ready to get uniforms and get all ready for that. They are VERY excited! :)
Thank you for all your prayers and support. We love you all so much and I will be getting a newsletter out here soon now that our internet is up and running and as long as the power stays on long enough for me to do it. :)
Your new home looks so nice! Very excited for you guys! Love reading the updates. :)
