This morning as I sat down at the computer I noticed that a friend of mine from language school had a new blog post. I was so excited to see where they were at in their journey and so I began reading the post and quickly sensed that life was tough for them right now. I couldn't help but get a little teary-eyed reading about how overwhelmed they were right now. Then, later in her blog post she begins to talk about the calling that God has placed on their lives to move their family thousands of miles away to serve HIM. I couldn't help but get teary-eyed again.
What is life about? Is it about how much money we can make or maybe it's about getting to the top of the ladder in the business world? NO, it's about living your life in a way that is pleasing to GOD. It's about serving and loving and committing your life to the ONE who has created you. It's about following HIS lead for your life, even if that means leaving home, comforts, and the life you are used to.
It's not easy living in another country. It's not easy being away from family and friends. In all honesty there are not many things that come easy right now, but I trust in the fact that my life is in the hands of my GOD and he will not leave me nor forsake me and he will continue to be with my family for as long as he calls us here or wherever else he may take us.
All this to say: We know missionaries all over the world, some in Asia, South America, the U.S., etc. Would you take some time today to pray for missionaries, our friends or others you may know.
Below are some pictures of Hans and five other guys who hiked up to the highest peak in the Caribbean. :)
