Above are some pictures from when we get to go outside...which seems very few days lately. :) The boys are growing up so fast.
Are you ever sitting, alone, and you begin to think about things from the past...old boyfriends/girlfriends, college friends, special people who have died, etc? Well, lately a lot of things from the past have been really coming to my mind. Things like...
The day I gave my heart to Jesus.
The day I lost my grandpa and seeing his face that last time.
My old treehouse and neighborhood friends.
When my first son was born...and then my second.
The day I got married.
Well, sometimes it's not good to dwell on the past, but this past week it was very therapeutic for me. Hans and I celebrated seven years of marriage on April 17th. It took me back to that day, to that moment. The moment I stepped out into the aisle with my arm linked around my dad's. As I looked down the long aisle I saw tears in the eyes of the man I was about to marry. I remember thinking to myself, "After all I've done in my past and I get to share life with such an amazing man...thank you God." What an amazing day it was! Family, friends, Kokamo song, limo, reception, and then ended on the sunny beach in Key Largo. I love him more today than ever...each day such a blessing to be called his wife.
Changing the subject a bit...
We're still in Michigan. :) We are at about 70% now and on Sunday we will find out how our latest fundraiser at our church did. God has been so faithful and we are excited to have so many people help us our in these fundraisers. I'll update as soon as I know more on that. We also may have another church come on board as well. YAY! Getting closer!
Prayer Requests:
Pray for the church that may be coming on board.
Pray for our fundraiser that's about to end.
Pray for patience as we wait on God's timing.
Thank you for all you do and all you are to us!
Great post. Congratulations on your anniversary. It seems funny how things work out. I feel so fortunate to have the things I have after all of the things I have done, although I have had a pretty exciting life.
