What's New?

So many changes in the past few weeks here in Jarabacoa.

1. We had our first team arrive about two weeks ago. It sounds simple, but it's quite a change for our family. Hans doesn't get to eat lunch with us. We are at the base almost every night for dinner or other things. We love it, it's just very draining.

2. Grady learned to tie his shoes by himself. We specifically bought him tie shoes so he would learn. One night he and Hans sat down and after two practices he had...such a quick learner.

3. Wyatt can now completely get undressed and dressed. Believe me, it doesn't sound big, but for us it is big. :)

4. The weather has been so back and forth lately. One day it will rain all day and all night. Then the next be beautiful and sunny. :) It's been a little cooler which is nice for the guys working.

5. I am working a little at the base as an "administrative assistant" while I still prepare for English classes and do a little with the schools. It's amazing how much my role has changed since we moved here.

Below are a few pictures from the past week.

17 weeks pregnant and feeling GREAT...praise God! So excited to find out next week if it's a third boy or a first girl we'll be adding to our family.

The boys playing trucks with the neighbor boy, love that they have such a great friendship with him.

The new social work site with a ROOF!

I had a conversation with this little guy today. I found out he's five and he doesn't go to school. So sad that many kids in this little community have no education.

The first team from California here to help the guys work on the social work site and this house that's behind them. So thankful for their willingness and devotion.
