Wyatt watching for dolphins. Hans saw one and he was determined to see it.
Grady and I ready to be home.
Finally, the boys get to see the ocean. We stopped close to here for lunch so we walked to the beach.
Eating coconut.
Eating our bananas and apples and drinking coconut milk when we crossed back into Panama. It cost us 500 colones for 3 bananas, one apple, and two coconuts. That is equal to about one dollar. :)
The Kuhlmans at the best pizza place ever, The Black Olive.
Grady teaching Papa Chuck how to play the leapster.
The boys loved the hammock at the snorkeling place.
We look pretty happy in spite of our crazy boat ride.
Mary, Wyatt, and I waiting to go eat dinner.
Papa Chuck. The boys loved him so much. Wyatt even called him Papa. :)

This past weekend we went with a group from the school to Panama. We had to go to get our passports stamped from another country since we are not getting our student visas. We were so excited to be able to get away and enjoy some of the sites and beautiful weather of Panama. What we did not know is that it was going to turn out to be exactly what we didn't want it to be. Let me tell you about our unforgettable trip to Panama.
1. An hour into the bus ride (which was about 7 hours) I start getting motion sickness and so does Wyatt. He ends up throwing up all over me and Hans.
2. We stood in the HOT sun at the Costa Rica/Panama border for an hour and a half.
3. Finally, we made it to where the boat was going to take us to the island.
4. The 30 minute boat ride to the island was scary. It was windy and choppy and the driver was crazy. Wyatt kept his eyes closed the whole time because he was so scared and getting soaked.
5. We made it to Bocas Del Toro. What a beautiful island and town!
6. That night we ate at a restaurant on the water that was really good and beautiful.
7. The next morning we were so excited to be taking a tour of four islands to see the dolphins, snorkel, see colorful frogs, play on the beach, and swim. It ended up being cold, windy, and pouring down rain all day. We didn't even make it to two places and the boat ride was so scary.
8. Sunday morning was beautiful and calm, and of course it was time to leave.
9. The bus ride home was good until Wyatt had to poop after we just stopped. He ended up going a little in his underwear and getting it all over Hans.
10. We made it home safely and thankful for the trip to Panama. :)
An unforgettable trip, huh? Hope you're all feeling better again. Laughs will come later.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a great family trip to me. How could you make any more memorable?
ReplyDelete*seethes with jealousy*
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe not about the excrement.
