Recently we have had so many awesome things happen to us.
1. Wyatt has finally decided to give up and not cry when we take him to class. He loves going in and playing with his friends. He even smiles when we get close to school, whereas before, he would cry a block from the school. He is making some friends, Abe and Aubrey especially, whom he prays for EVERY night before bed. Gracias A Dios!
2. Hans took the boys to the park yesterday and ran into the wife of the guy who runs Students International in Costa Rica. They don't live too far from here, but totally a God thing that they ran into each other. We hadn't taken the boys to the park in so long b/c of the rain. Anyway, they talked and figured out who each other was and we're hoping to go meet them and see SI here in San Jose. Exciting! Gracias A Dios!
3. We sold our Truck! When we put it up for sale back in the Spring we thought for sure it would be sold instantly. Well, God had other plans. :) We have waited a while, but are so excited that we don't have that payment anymore. Hans was a little sad, but said, "It's just a truck!" Gracias A Dios!
4. We can finally understand our landlord a little :) when she comes over or needs something. We can finally partially understand the beggers and salespeople that come to our door. We can finally talk with the taxi drivers. We can finally ask for directions. We can finally ask where things are at the grocery store. Gracias A Dios!
5. We had the opportunity to go on a little day trip with some other families to a place called Lapaz Waterfalls and Gardens. We got it for cheaper then it should've been and that was such a blessing because we really needed to get out of our house and let the boys run. I posted a few pics of it. Gracias A Dios!
6. Memorizing scripture has always been important to us, but very difficult. One of my teachers is making us memorize a verse a week in Spanish. So, I decided to start with the verse that is the heading on our blog. "Y sabemos que in todas los cosas interviene Dios para el bien de los que le aman; Que han sido llamados segun su disignio." I think that's right. :) Gracias A Dios!
I could go on and on about the things that we're thankful for, but I'll stop there.
Prayer Requests:
1. Pray for Wyatt. He is doing better with sleeping and with his behavior, but he still has a long way to go.
2. Pray for Grady to continue to love school and get along with his brother.
3. Pray for our language study.
4. Pray for our funds to continue to come in as we are still not to 90% of our total amount that we need for the DR.
