We received two packages this week, one from the Miller parents, and one from the Kelley parents. :) My mom sent us some fall decor which I was so excited to get because you cannot find anything like that here. The boys absolutely love the fall leaves. My mother-in-law sent balloons which have been a big hit. The boys drew faces on them with markers and wrapped my hair ties around the ends to "shoot the heads in the air" in Grady's words. It's the little things that make them the happiest.
Yesterday we took two buses up the mountain to visit Lyndon, Krista, Karis, and Jeremy. What a good time with great family/friends! We are going to miss them when they leave in a week and a half. It's been great having such great friends close to show us the ropes in Costa Rica.
Tonight we made cookies together. Such a fun experience with two little boys. All Grady wants to do is eat the chocolate chips and the batter. All Wyatt wants to do is crack the eggs open and make a mess. :) We made it though, a while later, because our oven struggles a little with cooking something in the correct amount of time.
For them, it's the little things. For us, it's the little things too. Tonight while we're getting ready for bed Grady says, "Mom, I'm glad you love me." And Wyatt pipes up with "Grande, mom, me." I'll translate, "You love me a lot too right mom." :) Being their mom is hard work most days, but the rewards far exceed those hard times.

Loved catching up with you this morning! Photos of your boys make me smile. Hope you all are doing well--I'm sure, too, you will miss Lyndon & Krista. Guess you will have to catch up at Christmas time. Love, Aunt Ruby
ReplyDeleteI also enjoyed catching up with what's happening with your family there. I'm sure this blog is frequently visited by Grandma & Grandpa. Miss you guys!
