When you move to a new country, thousands of miles away from family, thousands of miles away from everything comfortable and everything you know...it's a little scary. Especially when you throw a four and a two year old in the mix. That's how I felt four weeks ago. Today, I am counting my blessings and thanking God for the opportunity to be in Costa Rica. Let me just tell you about some things that we have been blessed by.
- Amazing teachers who love Jesus
- Amazing school who cares about us
- Loving people who are learning the language too
- Great landlord
- Ticos who are friendly and willing to help
- Taxi drivers who are teaching us a lot of Spanish
- Friends who love Jesus and are going to serve in other countries
- Good food
- Many more that I'm sure I missed
I am excited to learn Spanish and hope and pray that it comes sooner than later. I am excited to learn about this culture. I am excited to get to hear other missionary stories about where they're going and what they're doing. I'm excited to be here, at this time that God has set apart for us. What an amazing thing to think about. God has chosen us, at this time, to be here, to minister. Thank you God!
