Back To Work

We are back up and running...and running fast I might add.

The boys are back in school, Hans is busy building, and me, I'm just busy, as every mom and wife is.

Hans: The social work site in El Callejon is coming along great. For the next two weeks Hans will have seven guys from the states working along side him to help him put up the roof and do some other odds and ends that need to be done. So excited for this next step in the project. I would post some pictures, but Hans has the camera, so next time. :) He will also be sharing his testimony next week at one of the morning worship times with the students. Pray for clarity for him and for the students to be impacted by his story.

Grady: This guy is growing so much. He's grown almost an inch and a half since we got here last June. Not only has he grown physically, but mentally, socially, academically, and spiritually as well. He loves to be around people and other kids. He is doing great in his class. His teacher actually wants us to move him to the afternoon Kindergarten class because there are more advanced kids in it...he's getting a little bored. His report card read, "Grady is so smart and does a great job in school, but he talks a little too much in class." :) My mom tells me mine used to say the same thing. Oops! He is also learning so much about God this year. As most of you know, about three months ago he accepted Jesus to be his savior, so he's had TONS of questions. We got him a regular bible that we have been reading out of and he loves it. Cannot believe in two months he will be six.

Wyatt: Our sweet little Wyatt is growing as well. He's grown about an inch now. His appearances are changes and he's starting to look like a little man now without the baby face. He is doing great in school as well, just needs to work on self-control. I keep telling myself this is normal for a three year old, let's pray he grows out of it soon though. :) He is loving to listen to books a lot more now and loves to read out of his new bible. He says, "Mom, the whole bible is about God and Jesus, I like that." :) We are continuing to work on behavior issues with Wyatt and he has come a long way. Please continue to pray for us as the parents of a very strong willed little boy.

Me: Well, my role has changed a little since moving here. I am still in and out of the schools and helping out where and when I can. The thing that has changed is that I am now going into the base at 8:30 for a normal half day of work helping out our directors. They needed someone to just help with computer stuff, personal things, and dealing with people who come in when they're not there...more or less a secretary (they didn't like that word, so they are calling me an administrative assistant-I guess that sounds better anyway). I was so used to having a normal routine and schedule for my day that it has been difficult to not have one. So this has been so nice and such a blessing for me. So, I work until 11:40 and then go get the boys. This also gives me some time in the morning if I need to go visit the schools or work on stuff for English class. I am really loving it!

We are in full swing now with teams coming. Our first two week team is here right now. Then, we'll have a month break and have a whole month of teams. SO, things will get just a little bit crazier and busier around here now.

Please pray for us as we minister to students and Dominicans as well. Pray for their hearts to be softened to hear what God wants them to hear.
