"BEHOLD, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward." ~ Psalm 127:3
This post is dedicated to my children and all of the children in the world that God has created for HIS purpose.
Ok, lets be honest...it's not an easy job raising kids. BUT, what a privelage we have to be able to raise our children up teaching them the ways of Jesus and how to live their lives the way HE would have them to.
"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise." Deuteronomy 6:6-7
Grady & Wyatt with the neighbor boy. We now know that he doesn't know Jesus because yesterday while he was here playing Grady asked him, "Tu sabes Jesuscristo?" :) (Do you know Jesus?) He answered no and Grady said, MOM, he doesn't know Jesus we have to tell him, can you help me because my Spanish isn't that good." :) We're going to have him come to Sunday School with us.
This is Euri, one of the sweet, busy, strong-willed little three year olds at the school in Callejon.
This is Stacy. She is a very smart little three year old and I have enjoyed her happy and joyful spirit.
And this is Estefan...I'm pretty sure he is one of the cutest, quietest little boys I've ever met. One day he will talk to me. :)
Sweet Isabela.
This is Isaiah. He is a friend of Grady's from school. He and his family are from New York and work with an organization called Escuala Caribe that works with troubled teens.
And of course there are my two boys. Although there are so many days where I am tired and worn out and just not wanting to be a mom...I wouldn't trade these two little guys for anything. I can see characteristics in them that are going to be powerful for them in their journey. Already, at age 5, Grady is beginning to understand what it means to follow Jesus. He asked Jesus to live in his heart and be a part of his every day life. Love how God has worked in his heart. AND, Wyatt is learning new stories of the bible and wants everyone to know about Adam & Eve. :)
"Train up a child in the way he should go (and in keeping with his individual gift or bent), and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
God created each one of our children for such a sweet, special purpose...
And I'm excited that I get to guide and direct my boys in the ways of the Lord and teach them what it means to follow Jesus by my words and my actions. Thank you God for my boys and how you've created them unique and special in your eyes.
