Memories with Maggie

I first met Maggie through skype about two years ago when Hans and I felt the calling to the mission field and decided the DR was where we would go. I knew from the first moment that I met her that she was an amazing woman of God with a lot of wisdom. We moved to the DR three months ago and she has played a huge part in me feeling comfortable living here in Jarabacoa. Let me just tell you a few things that she has taught me.

How to get to the fruit and vegetable market and when NOT to go. :)
Where to buy fabric (that I will probably never need to go to again)
What it takes to make valances.
What it looks like to be a servant.
The best markets to go to and where to find things.
How to get to the "variety" store.

But the most important thing she has taught me is what it looks like to be a Godly mom, wife, and friend.

I am grateful for such a great friend and mom figure when mine are so far away. I will miss you Maggie, and I know my boys will too. :)
