Finally Going

I cannot believe that it's been almost two years since we felt the calling to go to the mission field. A year ago we started on our journey raising funds and then heading off to language school, training, and some orientation.

NOW, I can finally say...we have an official date to leave. It brings tears to my eyes...tears of joy...tears of sadness. We have waited so long for this and now we finally get to go. Tonight we bought our plane tickets and we'll be heading out on June 14th. We are at 84% and so we're still looking for about $200 more per month. The reason we have already gotten our tickets is because there is a family in the D.R. who will be leaving for the states for six weeks and want someone to house sit for them while they're gone. This is such a God thing for us because it will give us time to find a house, get everything we need, settle in to the culture, save some money, etc. We are SO excited!!!!

So, please be praying for us as we raise the rest of our funds and as we pack and finish up the things we need to do here in the States.
