Any Followers?

So I'm beginning to think that no one reads our blog posts anymore. :) Either that or no one likes to comment. I would really like your thoughts, encouragement, prayers, etc. on some of my posts. It keeps me wanting to write more and keep up with all of you. I don't write too often right now for a couple of reasons. 1. Our internet is slow. 2. We are in the States still and there's not a TON to share with you.

I would like to share with you about our weekend though. About a month ago Hans was asked to speak at a church, Word Fellowship. His dad is friends with the paster and we know some of them from playing softball in the summer and I grew up with some of the and worked with some as well. God definitely had his hand in this. We arrived at about 9:30 to very welcoming people. After some great worship Hans spoke. I was so proud of him. First he talked about our ministry in the D.R. and how we got to where we are right now. Then, he talked of our financial needs. Finally he spoke from Jeremiah about following where God leads you and giving up things to follow HIM. The message was something we can all take something from. What is it in your life that is holding you back from serving God the way He wants you to?

After the service we had numerous people talk to us about ministry and want to support us. Praise God!!! They also gave us a large one time donation as well. We are grateful for Russ and his church and how they have come along side us. Our prayer is that they will be blessed by being a part of our ministry.

  3. I just found your blog when I was going through friends on Facebook :) so I'll keep the tab open and try to catch up a little bit on what you're doing. So far I've gotten the general idea anyway!
