GO BLUE!
WOW! Have we been busy people or what. :)
I don't know about all of you, but I am grateful for friends. A couple of weeks ago we had the opportunity of spending the evening with some friends of ours at a Whitetail (deer) banquet. It was a good time just laughing and having fun.
Then, my parents took the boys for two days which was so nice and we had the opportunity of spending some time with Giles and Emma (Hans's brother and wife). It very rarely happens that we get to just visit and play cards.
Then, during the week I got to spend a day at the school I used to teach at and read to the kids and have lunch with the teachers. What a fun day! I dearly miss my friends at Burr Oak and after being there for a day I realized I would go back in a heartbeat.
On the way home from school I got to have a coffee date with my sister-in-law. This was also very special as we don't get time to just chat without kids or other people around.
We watched basketball for four days straight...GO BLUE...and loved every minute of it.
THEN, to top it all off...this past Saturday we ventured out in the morning and met my Uncle Larry, Aunt Becky, and cousin Justin for brunch in Fort Wayne. It was so great to see them and just catch up on what's going on in their lives. After a great brunch (thanks again guys) we headed to the other side of Fort Wayne to spend the rest of the weekend with the Loshe Family. For those of you who don't know the Loshe's let me tell you about them. I first met Laura 12 years ago (OH MY WORD) :) in college. We learned very quickly that we were very different but yet God had a plan for us to be friends. We roomed together then and our friendship grew. She was a very positive spiritual role model for me at the time being that I was a new Christian. We had some great times for the four years we were together in college. Then, we went our separate ways, but decided it would be best to remain friends. Now...here we are...12 years later, married, she with two girls and me with two boys. Thank you God for Laura (and Matt and the girls) what a blessing she has been in my life. I don't see her everyday. I don't talk to her everyday. BUT, I know that she is a forever friend and I'm thankful for that. :)
Now...we are resting. :) Right, isn't that what you're supposed to do after all that work.
Update on our funds: We are getting there. So thankful for the one time donations we received this month. This month we have gotten more money than any other month. PRAISE GOD! Please consider partnering with us and our amazing ministry to the poor people in the Dominican Republic. Any little bit helps us. And more importantly...pray for us. We are READY to go and can leave as soon as we reach our 90%. Thank you for your support!
