We got to ride on this big airplane and now we live in a different house. Sometimes I want to go home and sometimes I want my papa, but there are lots of fun things here. We get to go to the park sometimes and Grady and I love to slide on the floors because there's no carpet. We also have this basketball hoop that dad made for us that hangs on our wall. I can't really reach it, but sometimes he lifts me up. Grady's really good at making it.
I go to school every day except for Saturday and Sunday. I'm getting better at liking it and liking my teachers. I still cry a little bit when my mom and dad leave. It's hard when I don't know what they're saying and I don't know any of the other kids. I have made a few friends though. I really like Titus, he has a blanket like I do. And Abe is really fun too. He cries a lot for his mom and dad too. The teacher is really nice and she does a good job of helping me to feel better when my mom and dad aren't with me.
Sometimes we have these little sugar ants in our house, especially if you leave crumbs out all over. So, we have to ALWAYS eat our snacks at the table so it's easy for mom to clean up after us.
We don't have a backyard which is kind of a bummer sometimes, but we have a fun playground at the school and there are parks everywhere that we can go to, as long as it's not raining. It rains a lot! We've had to wear our rain boats and rain coats about every day that we've been here. I don't mind though. I like to splash in the mud puddles and get my mom and dad all wet. Grady does sometimes too. Yesterday, when we were coming home from Titus's house it started to pour. We were soaked by the time we got about three blocks so we took the taxi the rest of the way.
I'm getting better at getting used to things here. They talk funny and they smile at me a lot and pinch my cheeks. I think that means they like me. I didn't understand why my mom and dad made me move to a different house, but it's not so bad and I'm getting used to it.
Love this! It was so great seeing your lives through the eyes of your son!
